Can I work out at other gyms outside of the SoCal franchise?

As a member of the Santa Barbara and Goleta region, you can work out at Uptown Santa Barbara and Goleta locations. You can also use a Travel Pass, which allows you to train in any Gold’s Gym for up to 14 days with no added fee.

 

What types of classes are offered, and are they included in the membership fee?

Fitness classes at Gold’s Gym Santa Barbara Downtown are included in your membership, but select small-group training classes may have an additional fee. Some of our most popular fitness classes include Indoor Cycling, Strength Building, Yoga, Core, and Pilates. Do I need to bring my own towel and lock for the lockers?

Gold’s Gym Santa Barbara Downtown provides towel service to members, and we offer daily locker rentals. If you’d like to rent a locker, you should bring your own lock.

What's the gym's policy on canceling or freezing memberships?

Cancellation requests must be submitted by email to sbdntngm@goldsgymsb.com. Keep in mind that you must cancel 30 days prior to your billing date, and cancellation fees may apply. If you don’t want to cancel a membership but need to put it on pause, we allow membership freezes. Those interested in a membership freeze should email or call us at (805) 965-0999.

 

Do you have a sauna, steam room, or swimming pool?

We do not have a sauna, a steam room, or a swimming pool.

 

Are there age restrictions for gym membership?

You must be 13 years of age and older to receive a Gold’s Gym Santa Barbara Downtown membership. Children under 16 must also be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the gym.

 

What's the policy on guests or bringing a friend?

Members can bring guests or a friend to Gold’s Gym Santa Barbara Downtown if guests are included in their membership. You can also bring guests if there is a special promotion. When a promotion isn’t occurring or your membership doesn’t allow guests, your guest can use our free 7-day pass.

 

Do you offer childcare services or a kids' area?

Currently, we do not offer a kid’s area or childcare at this location.

 

Is parking available? Is it free?

When you drive to Gold’s Gym Santa Barbara Downtown, you can either take advantage of street parking or a free parking structure.

 

Can I transfer my membership to another location or person?

If you’d like to transfer your membership to another location or person, you can do so, but you must speak to a staff member at Gold’s Gym Santa Barbara Downtown first. Call us at (805) 965-0999 or email us at sbdntngm@goldsgymsb.com to begin your membership transfer.

 

Do you accept insurance programs?

We accept multiple insurance programs at Gold’s Gym Santa Barbara Downtown. The insurance programs we accept include  Silver Sneakers, Silver and Fit, Peerfit, Tivity, Active and Fit, ClassPass, HUSK, and Prime.
