The health and safety of our members and team members has always been our top priority and it’s never been more important. Our capacity, sanitization and distancing protocols are informed by federal, state and local guidelines as well as recommendations from public health officials and designed to protect our members and team members as our gyms reopen.
Our gyms will review all state and local reopening guidelines as they are received and will set our reopening dates by gym accordingly. We know our members are eager to get back to the gym and we look forward to welcoming everyone back as soon as it is safe to do so.

Many of our gyms are reopening with modified hours to allow for additional cleaning and safety measures throughout the day. This may also include a daily mid-day intermission where the gym is closed for a short period of time to allow for a full reset of cleaning supplies and a thorough deep clean.
Capacity limits will be determined based on each gym’s state and local guidelines. Visit your local gym page for operating hours information.
Our enhanced cleanliness protocols include zone cleanings throughout each day in all areas of the gym, daily deep cleanings and required equipment wipe-down after each use. Additional supply stations with medical-grade cleaners for wiping down equipment after use and hand sanitizer will also be made available.
As we reopen some gyms locations may have limited operation of water fountains and locker rooms as an additional safety measure.
Safety signage and reminders will be posted throughout the gym to promote physical distancing. All machines and equipment will be staggered by at least 6 feet, and any machines that are out of use for cleaning and/or distancing purposes will be clearly marked.
Some amenities may remain temporarily closed or only be available in a limited capacity upon reopening – including group classes, Kid’s Clubs and wet areas.
"I've missed everybody, it's like a second family here. I've been limited at my house and I've missed the entire experience. It's been great to be back!"
– Gold’s Gym Member Allison Miles
"Before coming back into the gym I felt super anxious knowing how sore I was going to get. I was ready to get in and do what I needed to do."
