The sense of family comes from Gold’s Gym South Texas owners the Garcia Family, who opened the facility in May of 2011 with aspirations to create a community impact.

It’s that involvement with the community that sets Gold’s Gym apart from other gyms in Harlingen. The Stronger Than Cancer annual event managed to raise over $18,000 in 2014 for local breast cancer organizations in the Rio Grande Valley. An annual Spin-a-thon encourages local Harlingen residents to get fit and support the Rio Grande Valley Diabetes Association. Every December, the fitness center pairs with Toys for Tots to bring joy and gifts to children in the community in need. The Garcia family is dedicated to running the best gym possible, and they were awarded Franchisee of the Year in 2013, a recognition that takes into account customer service, day to day operations, local marketing, and community involvement.

Our Harlingen gym is aimed to adapt to the fitness needs of our members and of the Harlingen area, which is why we provide unique amenities like our Aquatics Systems, a never ending lap pool that is perfect for exercising, training, or learning how to swim.
