Summer is the time of year that has everybody searching for a six-pack. Use this circuit to tone, define and cut those ab muscles.

I have yet to come across anyone that doesn’t want to look good during the warm weather of summer. Think about it; is there anyone you can think of? No one wants to feel flabby, bloated, and out of shape when they are laying by the pool, riding a boat out on the lake, or playing volleyball on the beach.

Over the years I have helped many of my clients set goals to make sure they can have a body they are  proud to show off by summer. When it comes time for “Ab Day”, they are always so excited and eager to train. I want you to have that same feeling when you workout!

Here are the top 5 core exercises that my clients over the years have loved and used to get their bodies in sunny weather mode!

Do this circuit 3 days a week with a 24-48 hour rest period between days!

Give them a try and don’t give up! Here’s a tip: If you can get a partner to do these with, you are more likely to keep it up.

*3 rounds 20 reps each

  1. Plank Reach Through
  2. V-up Sit-up
  3. Oblique Crunches: Bosu Ball
  4. Russian Twist
  5. Reverse Crunch
