When I made the decision a while ago to cut meat completely out of my diet, even I had some concerns on what I would eat on a daily basis. Even though I’m pretty informed and knowledgeable on the pros and cons of certain foods, I was still struggling. I wondered if the “sensation” of the food I would be eating, would be as desirable as the foods containing meat that I normally consumed. As it turns out, that’s a common problem for many people who decide to make this type of diet change. It is also one of the main reasons that people who make the change to meat-free, go right back to eating it.

I want to share some some recipes so that you won’t start out struggling and confused like most people are when they first cut out or cut back on the meat in their diets. These particular foods are some of my absolute favorite meatless meals. Just click the options below and you can see the recipes for yourself. These options are full of flavor and familiar textures, so you won’t become discouraged and run the other way! I’m so excited that I can share some of my favorite foods with you and offer these tips and suggestions. Enjoy making them for yourself, family and friends!

Portobello Burgers
Save some fat and calories by cutting out the cheese and replacing it with avocado slices instead.

Pad Thai
The peanut sauce in this dish is AMAZING! Also, consider replacing the vegetable oil, with olive oil or coconut oil.

Hoagie Sandwich
This sandwich is SO filling and packed with flavor. Again, consider leaving out the cheese to reduce the fat grams.

Veggie Burrito/Bowls
I can’t tell you how many times I eat this in a week! It’s one of my favorites and is super filling. Save some fat and calories by cutting out the sour cream and cheese.

There you have it, these are some of my favorite meatless meal options! All of these are vegetable based, nutrition packed, and will leave you feeling full and satisfied. Not to mention, you won’t miss the meat in any of these meals at all! Enjoy and let me know what you think once you try them.
