Gold’s Gym Ormond & Daytona hosted a School Supply Drive during the month of August in an effort to provide support to local students and teachers of Palm Terrace Elementary, located in the heart of Daytona Beach. During the drive, members were encouraged to give back to the community by contributing school supplies and financial donations. In addition, Gold’s Gym offered a series of special classes designed to gain even more momentum for the drive.

The drive proved to be a huge success! At the end of August, Gold’s Gym announced to their members that they had raised more than $1,150 for Palm Terrace Elementary. And this was in addition to the large amount of school supplies that were also donated.

Tyler Ward and Ryan Kremer, of Gold’s Gym, were able to personally present Tucker Harris, principal of Palm Terrace Elementary, with the school supplies and check. The response from Harris and the Palm Terrace team was overwhelming. They expressed just how much the school supplies and donations would impact their students and teachers. Harris mentioned that the money raised would help the students to learn through experiences, such as field trips or on- campus educational events. “It might be the one thing that motivates them to do great things.” Harris further conveyed his gratitude to the members of Gold’s Gym for their generosity to the school. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” said Harris.

The Gold’s Gym team also expressed how honored they were to play a role in this initiative. “This is what community is all about,” said Ward. “We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to host this drive and make a difference in our city!”
