Most of us love snacks. The problem with snacking is that calories add up quickly; if you don’t pay attention, you could sabotage your entire diet. But if done right, eating between meals can kill cravings and keep you on the right path for the rest of the day. Need some ideas for healthy snacks? Here are four of my favorites!
Kill Cravings With These 4 Healthy Snacks
- Red peppers and hummus: Packed with important nutrients, protein and healthy fats, this dynamic duo can kill cravings quick. It’s tasty, too.
- Frozen grapes: Cold, refreshing and hydrating all in one healthy snack is a total win. If I want something sweet I can usually annihilate the temptation with this option.
- Popcorn: I opt for the low-calorie air-popped version, because I can consume an entire cup for less than 40 calories! Even better, popcorn has a decent amount of fiber. Look for brands such as Skinny Pop and flavor with a dash of healthy oils or your favorite seasonings.
- Celery and organic peanut butter: Peanut butter is a healthy fat that curbs the appetite and helps maintain energy levels. And fulfilling one of your vegetable requirements via celery is always a good idea because of the nutrients you’ll receive!
