Ron Pierce is a certified personal trainer through the National Council of Certified Personal Trainers (NCCPT) with a special certification in Active Release Technique of the spinal muscles. I am also a student member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and plan on obtaining the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the NSCA within the upcoming year.
I am currently a student at Logan College of Chiropractic where I will be earning my Doctorate of Chiropractic in conjunction with a Master in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. I graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I am a former NCAA Division III collegiate athlete, playing ice hockey as a goalie for St. Johns University. I finished my college career playing goalie for the club ice hockey team at the University of Missouri. I am a passionate athlete excelling at both hockey and soccer, and I love to extend that passion on to my clients so that they may excel in whatever sport they may play, activity they participate in, or goal they pursue.
I now desire to link my personal training background with my future career as a chiropractor as I believe the two coincide with each other. I hope to not only be able to train individuals to reach their goals, but also provide a support structure to keep them moving functionally with functional movement screens, physical therapy based exercises (if necessary), and full body warmups. I plan to utilize my chiropractic knowledge and apply it to my training to offer a unique and in-depth approach to fitness training that is applicable to any client no matter their goals.
