Mike Giaimo’s fitness journey started when he was 14 years old. “I made the decision in 8th grade that I wanted to be the fittest person in my friend group, so I got my first set of weights for Christmas that year and started running after school. I spent my 4 years at Pattonville, lifting weights and running for the High School Track and Cross Country teams; making Varsity my freshman year and becoming Captain my junior and senior years. It was a no-brainer from there, that I would be in this Fitness Industry. I got a partial scholarship to Lindenwood University to run on the team. Majoring in Exercise Science, my knowledge of strength and conditioning grew exponentially.
After college, I took an internship at a local powerlifting gym that led to a part training job. I studied under the tutelage of one of St. Louis’s most knowledgeable and experienced strength and conditioning coaches. He taught me the ins-and-outs of the Powerlifting community and expanded my knowledge of fitness even further. From there I decided I wanted to take on more of a managerial role, so as to teach others what I have learned, and to help grow this industry that I love so much. I have raced anywhere from 400 meters up to 10,000 meters, intentionally and successfully gained and lost 30 lbs for Powerlifting, and competed in and trained many Powerlfiting athletes. I have the tools and knowledge to get you to your goals, and to teach you how to empower yourself along the way! This journey is never easy, but I promise it is definitely worth it.”
