Dear Sterling Members:
We have been working diligently this week to provide you with a thorough and accurate update on the status of re-opening the Sterling Gold’s Gym location.
Based on assessments performed this week, due to a power surge which caused a fire, we are more optimistic than expected. We have moved quickly to get an action plan in place and are confident that we should be able to reopen the majority of the facility by mid-May.
Areas such as Kids’ Club, CardioCinema, Mind&Body, main GGX, majority of cycle, and the basketball court had very little damage. We are currently working through main floor damage and re-build needs, as well as the locker room and pool areas.
The pool area and executive women’s locker room will require the largest amount of work needed. We are hopeful to begin renovation to all other areas by next week allowing us to be partially operable by mid May and the pool rebuild completed by the end of May.
As stated before, you will be able to use our Ashburn and Herndon locations while the Sterling location is closed. We have setup an arrangement with Gold’s Gym Corporate to allow all the Sterling members access to the following locations during the closure:
- Fairfax Station
In the coming days we will institute a formal check-in process in these locations that will utilize your current membership card.
In the meantime, if you would like to gain access to any of these 4 clubs please present this 7-Day Sterling Member guest pass at these locations and you will be allowed to workout.
In order to assess the number of members that will be utilizing those clubs, please respond to this email stating which club(s) you will be using.
We are grateful for all your support and understanding.
