Our gym sustained fire and water damage due to an electrical fire less than one week ago.
The primary concern as we work to reopen is an electrical panel that is owned by the landlord; the panel was destroyed on Tuesday. We are working diligently with our landlord and the power company to establish the proper solution to the electrical damage. Meanwhile, we have had massive crews working every single day to repair the water damage.
We have several meetings scheduled from Monday through Wednesday of this week that should help us confirm the cause of the incident while establishing a general action plan and timeline for reopening the gym. We will have more concise information to share by Wednesday afternoon.
To assist you with your fitness needs, the Ashburn (click to view club page) and Herndon (click to view club page) locations are both open and operating for you to use. We have significantly increased classes and staff at both locations while we will continue to work to prepare our Sterling location for reopening. These updated schedules can be found on the clubs’ websites or by following these links:
Additionally, any services (Personal Training, Kids’ Club, etc.) that are associated with your membership can be used and accessed in our Ashburn and Herndon locations.
The support we have been receiving from our membership base has been amazing and the Gold’s Gym family appreciates the love we are feeling. Thank for your patience as we work through this challenging situation, together. We will be sure to update you the moment we are able to provide additional information.
