NASM: Certified Personal Trainer
American Red Cross: Adult and Child CPR/AED
Hello my name is Aryeh (Ari) Hirsch. I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and am going to graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park in May 2013 with a BS in Community Health. I was born in Washington D.C and at a young age moved to Silver Spring, MD where I graduated from Northwood High school in 2008.
Growing up I struggled with weight issues and at my heaviest was classified as morbidly obese. When I was 12 my mother took me to the gym for the first time and I instantly fell in love with weight training and fitness. Starting to workout was the toughest part but once I started to notice positive changes in my body such as significant weight reduction and a gain in strength. I really become hooked. I became obsessed with learning as much as I could about training as well nutrition. Before becoming a personal trainer I worked at the General Nutrition Center (GNC) where I acquired a vast knowledge of nutrition and supplementation.
I’ve developed a strong work ethic and sense of commitment, which I credit to playing football in high school, which I apply to everything I do. I love being able to motivate people to reach their health and fitness goals and feel that I can provide that needed “push” in the right direction. I want to have a positive influence on everyone I interact with and be that support system and motivating factor that will help others in reaching their health and fitness goals.
