My name is Matt Johnson, I am a personal trainer at Gold’s Gym in Richland, WA. I have my Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Eastern Washington University. I grew up playing sports from a young age and continued on into college and professional.
From a young kid I played football, basketball and baseball though high school. I was fortune enough to receive a scholarship to play football at Eastern Washington University where I was a part of the 2010 National Championship team. After college I was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the 4th round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Unfortunately injuries caused my career to be shortened and steered my life to personal training.
While in college I decided to pursue my passion for health and fitness by starting to take Exercise Science classes. Learning about the numerous benefits of exercise on the human body was forever life changing. I knew from that point that I wanted to help impact people’s lives in the health and fitness realm.
The clients I serve have a wide variety of age, experience and skill set. I feel that every single person can benefit from personal trainer and my mission is to achieve the clients goals in a safe and efficient manner. Ranging from athletic movements to rehabilitation sessions to improving overall health, I have seen it all and feel confident to reach and surpass the clients needs.
