There are a ton of benefits to Small Group Training.
Let us take a look at the various benefits this system of training can offer us:
Provides motivation: Group exercising under the guidance of a Coach can be very beneficial for both the individual and the group, primarily because you receive constant encouragement and motivation. Generally, when an individual trains by themselves, they can fall into the habit of losing motivation forget to push themselves to the next level or quite simply “skip corners” and only do half as much as they thought they would. When people start working out as a group their stamina increases and the group itself encourages and pushes individual members to achieve their goals.
Better focus on health: When you start training or exercising in a small group with likeminded people, you will find that it is much easier to follow the strict diet pattern or train regularly. There is a silent support system at play here where each of you benefits from the other directly and indirectly. For example, one friend may motivate you to quit smoking where as another might help you make better diet choices. Likewise you might be able to help out someone with an exercise that is particularly difficult or motivate someone to join your group for regular work outs.
Fun and Laughter: I need not mention the fun and laughter that happen when close buddies come together. Imagine yourself having this time to experience and share happiness every day and at the same time train your body to lose the extra fat and flab. Isn’t that great? Training with others is non- intimidating, supportive and fun. It is the greatest source of entertainment; you can laugh with each other as you push your body to the next level of fitness.
What’s in your wallet? Small Group Training is less expensive than training one on one with a personal trainer. Personal trainers each have different rates, and perhaps you are hesitant to work with a trainer because he or she puts a damper on your budget. A small group training class can be a great way to break into the world of working with a certified Coach, and it won’t break the bank. Once you reap the benefits, you may decide that working out with a personal trainer is a perfect way for you to get fit properly and stay motivated. You could learn to budget out other items (like cookies) to make room for your trainer.
How’s your technique? Maybe you are new to exercise and the thought of working out individually intimidates you, because you fear you’ll spend the majority of the time figuring out the machine, or learning the co-ordination for a class. First of all, you shouldn’t be afraid of that, because the Trainers and Group Exercise Instructors are always there to help you, but if you feel more comfortable starting in a small group class, where you can “get lost in the crowd” but at the same time get guidance from a Coach to learn the exercises, go for it! You won’t be alone in not having perfect form, and you can learn all together. All the high tech equipment cannot make you lose weight or be fit if you are doing the wrong exercise; instead you can end up harming your body. In a small group, the Coach becomes a close confidante who has time to focus some personal attention on each of you. This helps them to understand your body type and the lifestyle you lead so the exercises and motivation given becomes much more effective.
Who’s holding you accountable? Accountability is probably the number one reason we fail at diets and exercise programs. Generally speaking, we all want to look and feel our best, but it’s hard when the only self-discipline to sustain a work out plan is you. Having a small group training class that you regularly attend can offer all the accountability you need. Perhaps you’ll meet people on a similar journey and you can become “workout companions”. The Coach will always be there to keep you accountable, too!
Many benefits exist with small group personal training. Try one or two out for yourself, and see firsthand how effective it can be finding the help you need to achieve more than you can on your own.
Often people who join small group training helps them commit to an exercise routine. You commit to paying in advance, can lock it in the diary and are accountable to show up.
