Gold’s Gym Appoints Michael Cobb as Chief Marketing Officer
DALLAS (November 27, 2012) – Gold’s Gym, the world’s leading authority on health and fitness, today announced the addition of Michael Cobb as Chief Marketing Officer. In addition to leading the iconic brand’s marketing efforts, Cobb will be responsible for key growth areas like corporate wellness and business development.
Bringing with him more than 10 years of senior experience activating national consumer brands such as KFC, Pepsi, Frito-Lay and Pizza Hut, among others, Cobb will spearhead all national marketing efforts for Gold’s Gym. Cobb is an energetic leader with proven track record of business transformation, growth and innovation.

Most recently, Cobb served as the president of Inspirus, where he led the repositioning of a 100 year old company into an industry leading SaaS based Workforce Recognition solutions provider. This transformational approach helped the company win enterprise engagements with clients like Delta, USAA, VUMC and Southwest Airlines, among others while doubling company revenue in just five years. Amidst this growth, the company was also recognized for delivering best in class customer satisfaction while being recognized as a “Best Place to Work” in Texas for three years running.
