I taught my first group fitness class at the age of 19! Now, 21 years later, teaching still feels like fun and not a job at all!
What inspires me to teach? Smiles, Sweat, and Serenity. I love seeing students happy, and leaving class feeling successful. If I can spark something inside of them that inspires a positive change, I feel happy and successful.
I have FUN while working out, and LOVE listening to amazing music, while making a connection with others.
After two major joint surgeries (knee and hip), my focus has shifted more towards WELLNESS AND ACCEPTANCE, and away from perfection and the external. “looking good is a product of feeling good”
I work out because I can. I think about how lucky I am to be healthy enough to workout daily. Whether it’s teaching a PUMP class, a SPIN class, a YOGA class, a walk with my dogs, swimming a few laps in the local pool with a friend, hiking in colorado with my husband, a leisurely bike ride to the beach, or a workout with one of my amazing personal training clients… I AM GRATEFUL FOR MY HEALTH AND MY ABILITY TO BECOME STRONGER MENTALLY OR PHYSICALLY.
I know the power of good SWEAT, and when I feel unmotivated, I focus on how I will feel after. My goal is to uplift, motivate, encourage, and inspire others to choose to be happy now while seeking their best health for mind, body and spirit.
“Discipline is just choosing between what you want now, and what you want most.”
