I am a kinesiology major from the University of Arkansas with a minor in Sports and Recreation management. I started my fitness/athletic career at the age of 3, when I first began gymnastics. After 13 years of , I ran into some problems with my back. At the age of 17, I underwent a full spinal fusion where they fused 2 titanium rods and 12 screws onto my spine. After the discouraging news that I may never be able to do the same things I could before, I felt hopeless. However, with my determination, (a little stubbornness), and the support of my family, I flipped my thoughts around. My senior year of high school, I was asked to walk on as a Division I platform diver at the University of Arkansas. My first year, I had to undergo a second spinal surgery where they removed the hardware in my back. But it didn’t stop me. Within 6 months, I was back up on 10m, stronger and more determined than ever! I ended my athletic career with 3 consecutive qualifications to the SEC Championships, as well as, an NCAA qualifier. I later went on to help coach the USA National Diving Team in Indianapolis, IN.
My passion is HELPING PEOPLE. Nothing touches my heart more than to be able to be a part of a positive life changing event in someone’s life.
