Always in a hurry? That one phrase that sums up many of our lives these days as well as my childhood growing up. Because we were always late for something, we never had much time as family to be concerned with proper nutrition or exercise. As a result, over time, the whole family slowly and steadily gained weight and lost mobility, flexibility, and strength to move properly and efficiently. I had become used to people saying that I weighed too much and sometimes being called names.
Almost by accident, I took a weight training class along with regular gym class that made me feel so sore and painful! However, when I stuck with it, I noticed huge changes in weight loss, seeing definition in my muscles, and feeling more energetic and full of life. I started to learn about proper nutrition and the importance of resistance training and cardiovascular training. Because of the changes I had seen and demonstrated, my whole family began to change their diets, started to exercise and we have become a much more fit family because of the changes I started to experience.
My love for fitness and nutrition continued to grow as I continued training and studying in college. Eventually I became certified as a personal trainer and have been helping others achieve their potential through fitness for several years. I love to see transformation happen in the lives of those who have become discouraged and help people achieve things they did not think were possible.
