Growing up, I was always physically active and involved in sports. After experiencing a few injuries, I turned to athletic trainers, physical therapists and coaches who helped me get back on my feet. As a result, I learned to become more aware of my body mechanics, gained postural awareness and modifications I needed to make in order to have the best workout for ME. This inspired me to pursue a degree in Exercise Science from West Chester University. While in college I worked at the YMCA, taught a step aerobics class and volunteered at assisted living homes. These experiences gave me an opportunity to work with a wide range of individuals with unique stories and health goals.
Over the past three years I have worked as an exercise physiologist at a local physical therapy clinic. My experiences at this job have reinforced the need to tailor programs to fit the specifics needs and goals of each individual.
