I have always been athletic and enjoyed playing sports like softball and others into my late teens. After college, marriage and my third child, I knew it was time to get back to the gym for my physical and mental health. I started by doing my own thing, but that got old real quick. When a friend asked me to join her in a kick boxing class, I was hesitant but went anyway. That one class changed my life. I began taking more classes and loved all of them. I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and learned to love to sweat.
That kick boxing class led me to becoming an ISCA kick box instructor. Many other certifications followed. I just became an ISCA master trainer working with world class kick boxer Thomas the Promise.
After a few years of group fitness I decided to try personal training. I thought I wouldn’t like it because I am a get up, jump around, and yell kind of girl. I was wrong. It was exactly what I needed. I still love my classes but I also love the one- on- one personal training. Being the one who gets to watch someone achieve their fitness goals is very special.
I enjoy everything about having a career in the fitness world. It’s always changing and the clients I train are continuously changing. I never get bored and will not let my clients get bored.
