I hail from Joliet, Illinois the same city as brothers Jake and Elwood Blues- better known as the Blue Brothers. Growing up, I always had an appreciation for all sports, which began with playing soccer, and then rapidly evolved into football, followed by my passion for basketball. This intense love led to my opportunity to play Division II collegiate football for the University of Dubuque in the corn state of Iowa, where ironically the movie “Field of Dreams” was filmed. There, I was educated by the great Jim Romanga, a strength and conditioning coach, who obtained his fame through muscle and fitness modeling. Mr. Romanga mentored me during college as well as through my internship upon graduation.
After graduation, I continued my education of the human body, focusing on injury prevention and exercise rehabilitation. This included working alongside a physical therapist for almost 3 years. It was at this time that I made the decision to return to my first love – strength and conditioning. To be able to make this dream possible, I made the move to Pennsylvania that enabled me to work alongside John Fields and his Bison football athletes at the University of Bucknell.
I have had the honor and privilege to work in the fitness and conditioning field for over 5 years where I truly enjoy helping people reach their personal goals. I take pride in doing things the right way – working smarter not harder – which always begins with proper form and technique. My motto is, “never ask someone to do anything that I have not, or could not, have done myself” – I believe in leading by example to make ALL goals possible.
