Gift of Fitness: This December (2015) we gave away (50) free 1-year memberships to local residents who were struggling and could benefit from the gift of fitness. We allow anyone to nominate themselves or others for the membership give away.
Sub for Santa: November 1st – December 24th we partnered with Utah DCFS to put up Christmas trees in our facility that had decorations listing the age and needed gift items to be donated to local families who otherwise would have been without Christmas gifts. With the help of our wonderful employees, members, and local residents we were able to provide gifts to more than 100 local children and over 40 families this past Christmas.
Food Drive: October 1st -December 24th we are one of Utah food banks food drive hosts. Each facility had barrels and crates to store food that is donated by members, employees and anyone willing do drop off food that was donated to the Utah Food Bank to help feed hundreds of people during the holiday season. With the help of local residents we were able to fill more than 8 barrels of food that was donated to the local chapters of the Utah Food Bank.
GOLD’S GYM SUPPORTS THE AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION Donating $5000 and providing free workouts to the community.
OGDEN, Utah – Gold’s Gym Utah opened up its doors free to the public on Thursday November 26th, and Friday November 27th offering a FREE “Turkey Burn workout” on both Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday giving nonmembers free access to the facility. Gold’s Gym is also providing the public with a FREE 12 week Transformation Plan guide that helps in beginning an exercise program. Exercise and nutrition have been shown to delay and reduce the complications of diabetes.
Gold’s Gym Utah donated over $5,300 to the American Diabetes Association. Since it became a sponsor of the ADA, Gold’s Gym has raised more than $3 million for diabetes research and prevention nationally.
