Tina is a native Washingtonian, and has been employed w/the Federal Government for 26 years. She has a B.S in Criminal Justice, and a minor is Psychology.
As an instructor, Tina aspires to teach, support, and guide fitness enthusiasts in their quest for a healthier and balanced lifestyle. She leads by example and demonstrates her passion for fitness, health, and overall well-being. In addition, she encourages novice and skilled fitness patrons to have fun and burn calories while developing a healthier lifestyle-regardless of age or physical limitations.
Ultimately, she advocates for adopting exercise as a lifestyle and not a “quick fix.” The environment she creates is challenging, well-balanced, and consistent. She motivates patrons to reach their full potential by working harder, but smarter.
Finally, Tina plans to further acquire instructor oriented certifications for self-development, and to satiate the demands of her growing following. On a personal note, she is married, has one son, and a dog. Tina loves all types of sports, enjoys teaching and training in the gym, and is passionate about helping others achieve their personal fitness goals. Her most important task is providing continue support to her son during his last year of law school.

Classes you currently teach: She currently teaches Body Pump, CXWORX, and Grit at the Largo location.
What led you to group fitness? Tina realized after turning 30 years old, she needed to take her fitness more serious, so she joined the gym in her office building, and later the Gold’s Gym-Bowie location. She took several classes, and fell madly in love with fitness. Her fitness mentor encouraged her to become certified and teach because he saw the potential she possessed. He passed away prior to her becoming a certified instructor, but she knows he is proud of her accomplishments.
How do you spend your time outside of the gym? Tina enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as hand dancing with her mother and sisters.
Some advice for our GGX class members: She advises all of the GGX class members to stay consistent because with consistency comes results.
