Christina has always been an active individual. Although, after having her first child, she began to truly commit herself to living a healthier and fit lifestyle. She began working out daily but rarely felt confident in her own work out program. Personal trainers were too expensive. Subsequently, she fell in love with group fitness. Her favorite classes are Body Combat, Body Pump, Grit, and CXWorx. She loves to try new classes, meet new people, and challenge herself. She loved Body Pump so much; she decided to become an instructor in 2014. Group fitness gives her inspiration, confidence, and much amusement to continue strong in her healthy and active lifestyle.

What led you to group fitness? Inspirational and amazing instructors lead me to group fitness. Group fitness classes also helped me to push myself and learn how to perform various types of exercises. I also enjoy the social element. It is also very challenging and helps me maintain a desirable physique and healthy body. I have so much fun that I forget I am working out.
How do you spend your time outside of the gym? I teach High School French. I have a wonderful family whom I love to spend time with. I also love reading, watching films, traveling, and of course, working out.
Some advice for our GGX class members: Don’t be afraid to try new things, try to exist outside of your bubble, try not to compare yourself to other individuals, focus on your goals and fitness level. When I first started group fitness, I could not keep up with the choreography, my weight selection was low, I could not execute certain exercises with precision, and I lacked knowledge and experience. Now, I am instructor. If I can, you can.
