Hello, my name is Tyler Cowin. I’m a personal trainer at Gold’s Gym Kennewick. Being in the fitness industry gives me a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on people with a variety of backgrounds. I am a NASM certified personal trainer and also have a corrective exercise specialization. I am very passionate about my work and try to share that energy while working with my clients. I really enjoy my job and always try to keep the exercises fun and upbeat.
I have always been athletic. I was involved with a lot of sports when I was younger, and as I got into high school at Southridge in Kennewick my focus was on Wrestling. I made it to nationals 3 years straight from 2005 through 2007. After graduating I helped coach the Richland High School team from 2008 till 2013. That was my first official start in the fitness industry as a coach. In 2011 I realized my love for helping people and started looking to widen my demographic to personal training.
I started at Gold’s Gym Tri-Cities as a Trainer and Les Mills Grit coach in 2014. I enjoy the one on one training style. There’s nothing like seeing the changes in people’s lives whether it’s through weight loss, recovery from injury, or simply learning something new. I’m honored to have had the opportunity to have trained the Tri-Cities overall winner Phillip Ward in the 2015 Gold’s Gym 12 Week Challenge. I have also been very lucky for the opportunity to work with Rachel Gorham, a very mentally and physically strong women who competed in a competitive bikini competition.
I’ve been able to share my passion with so many people in the last two years, and I can’t wait to see the lives that will be changed in the coming years. I’m here for each and every person under my care. I’ve been very blessed in my life, and that’s something I feel worth sharing.
