GOLD’S GYM SUPPORTS THE AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION Donating $5000 and providing free workouts to the community.
OGDEN, Utah – Gold’s Gym Utah will open up its doors free to the public on Thursday November 26th, and Friday November 27th offering a FREE “Turkey Burn workout” on both Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday giving nonmembers free access to the facility. Gold’s Gym is also providing the public with a FREE 12 week Transformation Plan guide that helps in beginning an exercise program. Exercise and nutrition have been shown to delay and reduce the complications of diabetes.
Gold’s Gym Utah is donating over $5,000 to the American Diabetes Association. Since it became a sponsor of the ADA, Gold’s Gym has raised more than $3 million for diabetes research and prevention nationally.
In the United States alone, diabetes affects over 24 million adults and children, with one in four Americans living with the disease yet unaware they even have it. Additionally, 57 million Americans are estimated to have pre-diabetes, placing them at increased risk for developing type-2 diabetes. If present trends continue, one in three children born today will develop diabetes in their lifetime.
