In 2013 Jocelyn completed her Bachelors Degree in Accounting and began working as a staff accountant right out of college.
After three months in that position she decided that the 9 to 5 career was not for her and felt like her life was lacking passion and purpose.
Originally from upstate NY she decided to head down to Florida in search of sunshine and new opportunities. Two days after living in Jupiter she found and fell in love with Kula Yoga Shala. After consistently practicing five days a week for more than two years she decided to sign up for their training program in order to gain more knowledge about the practice of yoga, never expecting to become a teacher. However upon completing the 200 hr YTT course (in June) she felt compelled to really implement the teaching in her life and to share all of the amazing benefits of yoga to anyone who would listen; realizing that teaching yoga was her calling. As a teacher Jocelyn loves to instruct free, organic movement. Her classes are filled with twists, counter poses, core work, side stretches, forward and backward bending; and any type of movement that allows her students to find space where they feel stuck. Her main goal as a teacher is to leave her students with a feeling of mindfulness, positive energy, and confidence to express who they truly are.
