I started lifting weights and at early age while playing high school sports. After high school, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. That is where I found my passion for the gym. After spending a lot of time training myself, I decided to start training friends. It has always been a dream of mine to work with people to help them realize their full potential not only in their health but reforming their lives. I look forward to working with each and every one of you.
Growing up in a sports environment taught me the importance of hard work, healthy lifestyle and variety in training. As a woman and mother it is extremely important to provide a positive way of thinking when it comes to training, eating and wellbeing. I am a CrossFit Level 1 trainer, a CrossFit kids trainer, and a Red Cross instructor. In getting back to my “sports” background, I have become a master competitor in Olympic weightlifting. With my knowledge of athletic training and diverse modalities it is my desire to make you the best individual you can be, inside and out.
On Christmas day, 2009 I weighed 230lbs. I had that moment you hear about. I can’t live like this anymore! I wanted to see my kids grow up, graduate, and start their own families. If I kept living like I was, I wouldn’t make it. After the holidays I joined a gym and never looked back. I changed my mindset and started living a healthy and fit lifestyle. I began to watch what I ate and worked out six days a week with strength training and light cardio. I set new goals for myself so I wasn’t bored or discouraged. Now at 170, I’m fit and healthy. As a trainer I want to share my journey with others. Now my goal is to inspire and help others to start living a healthy life

I became a personal trainer to be an encouragement to others. Being in my 50’s and at one point weighing as much as 267lbs, dealing with high blood pressure as high as 208/128, I was a walking time bomb. I needed to do something. Thanks to Gold’s Gym Hanover and the trainers I have been able to shed 50lbs and continue to lose weight. Now it’s my turn to return the favor and share the knowledge that I have acquired to make an impact on the lives of others.
I have completed formal training with NASM. I am certified as a personal trainer with Athletic Certification and Training Commission. I have also had the privilege to work with some great trainers here at Gold’s Gym.
Today’s culture breeds an unhealthy lifestyle. Since I was young, I’ve always believed in taking care of my body. One’s health should be his or her top priority. Healthiness brings happiness, and in today’s society, a growing number of people are not holding themselves accountable for their health. The answer is not in pill form. Dedication and consistency to an exercise program will bring positive results. Your excuse is only as good as the last person’s excuse.
I graduated Cum Laude from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science along with a minor in Biology.
Results reflect effort, and if you truly want to change your life, Gold’s Gym is the right place.
I am extremely excited to be a part of the Gold’s Gym personal training team. Growing up, I have had a strong passion for fitness and I have continued to be an avid health enthusiast. For many years I have been dedicated to personal fitness and training towards the goal of a fit lifestyle. In 2010 I earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Gettysburg College. I believe that a healthy lifestyle is an ongoing journey, which is why I strive to expand my knowledge of health and fitness each and every day. Health and fitness play a crucial part in our lives, and it is reflected upon in our quality of life. Being healthy is about finding balance in your own life. Taking a step towards a healthy lifestyle takes hard work and dedication but everyone can meet personal goals if YOU believe you can achieve them. As a trainer I hope to help you make the change and lead you down the path towards a healthier lifestyle. I’ve had the opportunity to participate in team sports, which showed me the importance of working together to achieve a common goal. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and to help you achieve your goals.
I have had a love for health and fitness for as long as I can remember. It began when I saw my first Rocky movie at around age 5. I wanted to be strong just like Rocky. A few years later I got my first Get In Shape Girl-workouts for young girls that consisted of nothing more than a cassette tape for exercise instruction a jump rope and bracelet weights. I was hooked! I also began competitive swimming at this time (age 8) which I continued into college.
In 2011 I made the decision to become a personal trainer and began taking classes. I also decided to run the Pittsburgh Marathon. A year later I was having back surgery to repair a herniated disc. I believed my running days to be over as well as my dream of becoming a trainer. Thankfully this was not the case!
I am now certified through The National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) and my back is growing strong. As a result of my injury and experiences with it, proper form and safety are paramount to me. I am committed not only to my own health and fitness but to yours as well!
Hello, my name is Chris Davis and I’m currently a student at York College of Pennsylvania studying Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. While in a field that often leads to a sedentary and unhealthy lifestyle, I am quite the opposite. I was an athlete throughout my high school years, playing football and baseball. While these sports encouraged me to work out regularly, I didn’t develop a passion for fitness and health until after I had graduated. With a vast amount of spare time after high school, I started spending more and more time in the gym, and quickly became addicted to seeing results. I decided to get my personal training certification in hopes of inspiring others to change their unhealthy habits, and get in better shape, both physically and mentally. I currently compete in the bodybuilding division in the USBF, and have experience in both dieting to lose fat and dieting to build muscle. As your personal trainer, I will strive to push you to your physical capabilities in order to get you to your desired physique.
“No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.”
