“I joined Gold’s gym in Hanover several months ago and decided to consult with a personal trainer in order to get the most out of my time spent at the gym and achieve my personal goals. After consulting with my personal trainer, I decided to sign up and take advantage of a knowledgeable trainer. It was the best decision and financial investment I have made in some time. I have belonged to several gyms over the years and spent many hours in a gym and at home exercising, but discovered after working with my personal trainer for a few weeks I had been doing things the wrong way and hence never really achieved the results I had expected. I urge anyone who is serious about being fit, getting in the best shape possible and achieving your goals, to reach out and arrange a consultation and hook up with a personal trainer. “When I stepped out of the shower and saw nothing but belly, I knew I needed to do something about myself. After raising two kids, I became more sedentary and let this happen. I needed to change and I have. After looking at another facility with no satisfaction, I walked into Gold’s and was greeted by genuinely nice people that wanted to speak with me. This is the place I need to be. My trainer Tim was exactly what the doctor ordered. Together we devised a fitness plan for this 59 year old to succeed. I have learned appropriate techniques with machines and weights and I now understand the correct way to achieve my goals. After only a few months the results were astounding. “My journey toward better health being in 2010, I was hospitalized for heart arrhythmia high blood pressure. Following doctor’s orders, I began andtaking medication and I also made lifestyle changes. Being a single parent I knew that this was necessary if I wanted to see my son grow up. It was at this point I joined Gold’s Gym Hanover. My first workout was on opening day in late July, 2010. Although my overall goal was better health, I did not have the inner drive to fully focus on being healthy.
In December 2011 I joined the 12 Week Challenge at Gold’s. This gave me a renewed focus. Here was my opportunity to set goals and focus on my diet. The encouragement from the trainers and staff at Gold’s was amazing and helped me stay on track. I am no longer on medication and my body fat percentage is much lower.
I feel that there are moments in the course of time that change our lives forever. The Challenge is one of those moments for me. I learned that with proper nutrition and exercise you can achieve goals beyond your expectations. Thank you Gold’s for changing my life and also my son’s life.”

“Working with a personal trainer has enabled me to develop a lifestyle that promotes fitness, health, and well-being. It provides me with the professional assistance I need to make lifestyle changes that I couldn’t achieve myself. Motivation is often difficult to maintain when I exercise on my own. At times, I feel as though I am not getting enough out of my individual exercise program and struggle to find a routine that works for me. Regular sessions with a personal trainer enhance my motivation to continue with a workout program. Tim encourages me to stay committed to my program; while providing a good measure of structure and accountability in the workouts. Through training, I have learned that a workout is more than a collection of exercises; selection and exercise placement in a workout determine a significant portion of the workout’s success. Tim designs efficient and effective workouts specifically for me that focus on using my strengths and improving my weaknesses. He provides maximum results in minimum time using a variety of exercise methods which give me the flexibility necessary to meet my fitness goals. He monitors my progress while constantly fine-tuning workout programs to alleviate boredom and stagnation. Learning from someone who teaches the proper way to perform each exercise, then demonstrates the movement, watches me perform it, and critiques it, provides me with the knowledge and confidence to incorporate these exercises into my own daily workout routines. Through his support, motivation and vast knowledge he enables me to push my body further, work harder and break through plateaus. My cardiovascular health, strength, flexibility, endurance, posture, balance and coordination have improved through one-on-one training.”
