Aquatics at Gold's Gym Redmond
Among the newest and finest aquatics facilities available, Gold's Gym Issaquah features a spill edge, 25-yard, salt-purified pool for lap swims or pure recreation. Visit the pool for exercise or play, and then relax in our huge, 11 person hot tub.
And of course, Gold's Gym hasn't forgotten our smallest members. The Kid's Pool is a great place for kids to play and splash around under their very own fountain! We offer an extensive array of aquatics programs for the entire family!
Whether your child is a beginner or a seasoned swimmer, our instructors can guide them in all areas from increasing their comfort level to improving their technique.
- Swimming lessons are available any time the pool is open, including open swim times.
- Lessons are offered to members 3 1/2 years of age to 100 years of age.
- Swimming lessons are 30 minutes.

Group Lessons & Rates (30 min)
Group lessons have two options, Beginner and Intermediate. The classes have up to six students per instructor and are offered Monday through Friday in the evenings and also on Saturday mornings.
In Beginner level classes, the instructors work on water adjustment, floating and balance in the water, an introduction to basic swim strokes and kicks, and most importantly, water safety. The focus of this group is to develop comfort in the water and to teach children aquatic independence. During the lessons, children will sit on the stairs or wall while the instructor demonstrates a skill. Then, the instructor will work individually with each child to practice the demonstrated skill. Children are generally assisted by the instructor until the child is independent enough to be able to perform the skills on his or her own.
In the Intermediate level classes, the instructor works on the introduction of proper swim technique for all freestyle and backstrokes, with introductions to proper technique for breaststroke, and butterfly, as well as side-breathing, flip turns, wall starts, transitions, and most importantly water safety. The focus of this group will be to develop proper swimming technique. The instructor will stand away from the wall while swimmers perform the required skill to and from the instructor. Some instructor assistance will be provided in the water.

Adult Master Swim: If you are looking for a Master's Swim program that will increase your endurance, speed, confidence and improve your stroke techniques, then Gold's Master's is for you. Coached workouts are designed with an emphasis on stroke mechanics, sets and drills that will inspire you to learn all you can in the world of competitive swimming. To Join Master's Swim, you must be able to swim 200 yards freestyle (8 lengths of the pool, non-stop) and one other competitive stroke fairly well to qualify. Master's Swim is NOT for adult beginners.
- Master's Swim Card - $40 for 8 punch card sessions
Junior Master Swim: This program is for kids, ages 9-15, and it is run as a pre-comp program on Saturday mornings. The emphasis is on technique work during the first half of the practice and moves into basic conditioning training in the second half of the hour. A non-exclusive list of the thing we focus on include:
- Proper freestyle technique
- Stroke technique (backstroke, breastwork and butterfly)
- Flip turns
- Open turns
- Introduction to circle swimming
- Introduction to interval training
It is recommended that your kids drop into one of our intermediate swim lessons (Monday - Thursday evening or Saturday morning) or have a private lesson to make sure that they have the basics before beginning the program. As mentioned before, emphasis will be on technique. We do not want kids to move into this program if we feel they will develop bad stroke habits, therefore the instructors handle the sign ups for this class personally.

Get a workout and enjoy the pool at the same time! Water Aerobics is an exhilarating non-impact pool workout that uses the water's resistance to build strength and reduce body fat while promoting flexibility and improving circulation. This class is taught to all fitness levels.
