Rain Weingarten - Director of Massage
During her stint at the school and clinic, Rain had the opportunity to find her nitch in working with people dealing with pain and injury. Her interest in helping people in discomfort prompted her to take courses with the OMERI Institute to learn more about assessing what structures pain is originating from and how to be truly effective in her treatments. She offers a unique blend of massage modalities individually catering to each client’s specific needs. While her focus is on chronic pain relief, Rain is well versed in relaxation techniques as well as sports massage and prenatal massage.
The next logical step given the tendency to want to share and the nature of the business in which she worked was to teach. Rain truly enjoyed the semester she taught at Piedmont School. She found that teaching is a wonderful way to expand your own knowledge and deepen in appreciation and understanding of massage. Her hope is to teach again in the future and is currently still active in the mentorship program at Piedmont.
Rain now has a thriving business at the Gold’s Gym in Lake Ridge, VA. Her experience in working with athletes such as marathon runners, base ball teams, rowers and body builders lends itself well to the needs of the members of such an active health club. She enjoys the chance to work hand in hand with the personal trainers in helping clients reach a higher level of health and fitness. She enjoys working with many types of people and has a diverse menu of services available such as: deep tissue/chronic pain relief, injury assessment, pre & post event sports massage, sports therapy, postural re-education, relaxation/circulation massage, prenatal massage, stretching sessions, stretch lessons, non-certification massage lessons and infant massage lessons.
