Gold's Gyms of  Smithtown , Deer Park and Islip are a partner in education with the  National  Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). NASM is the international leader in education and professional development for fitness professionals. Our trainers offer the latest techniques in fitness training, performance enhancement and corrective exercise techniques. We are committed to helping you achieve your fitness goals as quickly, effectively and safely as possible. The foundation of all our programs are the 5 Components Of Fitness. These Components are:

Every membership at Gold's Gym Deer Park, Islip , Farmingdale and Smithtown has a Kick Start Program included. This program is made up of 4 meeting with a Fitness Professional. We want to give you a "turn key" solution to meet all your fitness goals.

Kick Start 1 "The Evaluation": If you want a map to reach your goals, that map needs a starting point. During this 1 hour evaluation a trainer helps you find that starting point. The Evaluation includes:

  • Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire
  • Body Composition
  • Test 8 Site Girth Measurement
  • BMI Calculation
  • Waist- Hip Ratio Test
  •  Target Heart Rate Zone Calculation
  •  Postural Analysis

Kick Start 2 "1 on 1 Personal Training Session": Now that we have a starting point, a Personal Trainer will take you through a 1 hour session based on your needs, wants, and ability.

Kick Start 3 "Small Group Training": During this hour we take you through one of our famous Small Group Training Sessions. This is done in a small group setting. Choose one our specialty classes such as Kinesis, Pilates Reformer, Free Motion Circuit Training, or Boxing.

Kick Start 4 "Nutritional Seminar": Instead of a cookie- cutter meal plan, we educate you on how to make the right choices. The problem with nutrition is the amount of false information out there. During this hour we put an end to all the diet myths.
