Your child can be a Tiny Tiger. Enroll your child ages 3-6 in this fun and exciting Tiger Martial Arts class and introduce your child to the exciting world of Tae Kwon Do. Classes include fitness games so have your child ready to exercise both their mind and body. Our goal is to incorporate Tae Kwon Do skills into a fun and friendly atmosphere of celebration. Enroll your child today for only $30 per month. Tiny Tigers program is offered by Tiger Martial Arts of Gold's Gym, San Angelo.
Our children's Tae Kwon Do is recognized throughout the community for the positive benefits helping your child with self confidence and concentration at school. Classes are nightly Monday through Thursday starting at 5:30 PM.
Our adult Combat Martial Arts Studies is an exceptional program for the adult seeking practical self defense skills while increasing fitness levels at a pace suited to the individual. You will learn tons of great skills to help you surviving our sometimes unpredictable world.
Our Tai Chi program is fantastic for young and seniors alike. This is part of the Gold's Group Exercise program so included in the membership. Learn self defense skills and lots of things you never imagined about the human body and your internal energy. It's a fun and peaceful relaxing class.

Many students were promoted in our most recent belt testing. The Tae Kwon Do belt test consisted of Basic Tae Kwon Do techniques, One Step Defenses, Katas, Boardbreaking and Sparring. We have testing in all of our classes offering advancement through your hard work and effort. The adult SMAS and Tai Chi programs offer credentialling towards instructor certification.
About the Tiger Martial Art Program Director
Barry Gambrell served as an Officer in the United States Air Force for the past 20 Years. He is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has trained and certified in many martial arts disciplines over the years. Mr. Gambrell has owned and managed several martial arts schools. He taught overseas as well as in the United States and has over 33 years of training with 29 years teaching experience. He recently retired and relocated to San Angelo, TX where he joined the staff at Gold’s Gym as the director for Gold’s Tiger Martial Arts program. In 1999, Barry created his own martial arts instructional system, combining many positive attributes and capabilities from different disciplines. These include Goju-Ryu Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Wing Chun Gung Fu, Grappling, Filipino Weapons, Tai Chi Chuan and Muay Thai Kickboxing. Barry’s martial arts system is known as Barry’s School of Martial Arts Studies (SMAS) and is currently taught here at Gold’s as well as in Alexandria, VA. The main objective of SMAS is to mold the individual into the best warrior possible through the practice and mastery of practical self defense techniques. The goal is to fuse the mind, body and spirit into a united force that can apply the principles of warriors to seek a more peaceful and fulfilling life.
