Capital Carolina Erg Sprints
The 1st Annual Capital Carolina Erg Sprints will be held on February 9, 2008 inside of Gold's Gym of Cary, NC. The Capital Carolina Sprints was created in response to the growing popularity of rowing in the Triangle, NC area. The event was made possible by the opening of the "Rowing Fitness Center" located within Gold's Gym of Cary, NC. The "Rowing Fitness Center" is the first indoor rowing facility of its kind in the Carolinas.

Event Details
- You may enter as many races as you would like for the price of one entry fee!
- Races will commence at 9:00 am and will run on 15 minute centers.
- All races are 2,000 meters, except for coxswain events, which are 1,000 meters.
- Double slide events are two minutes long. The total amount of meters will be used to determine the winners in this event.
- Rowers will be seeded in their event according to their best 2,000 meter time. The fastest rowers in each event will be in the final heat.
- Warm-up ergs will be available for all rowers.
- Rowers may utilize one coach or coxswain to help them during their row.
- Rowers may use the damper setting of their choice, but they may not change the damper once their race has started.
- Race times will be recorded both electronically as well as manually. Racers should not leave their erg without initialling their manually recorded scores.
- Mixed Relay Teams may consist of half male athletes and half female athletes OR three female athletes and one male athlete.
