Pilates

What is Pilates?

Gold’s of St. Lucie West answers that with this question,
“What do YOU need?”

A person with injuries can enjoy a safe to movement through Pilates. Pain is better managed or eliminated when proper body mechanics are learned through repetitive Pilates practice.

If a golfer or sports enthusiast participates in Pilates, they can add distance, power and flexibility to their game. Awareness in the brain of the body is key for optimal performance, and that is Pilates!

Pilates in action

Asthma, stress, sleeplessness, anxiety, fatigue are lessened when deep, efficient breathing is implemented. Pilates activates and stimulates the muscles that provide the body with its most fundamental requirement: oxygen!

And of course, Pilates tightens the belly, and lifts the bottom.

So the mission of the Pilates professionals here at Gold’s is to show you that Pilates is many different things, and it is for each and EVERY body!

We have so much Pilates to offer: one on one training on the cadillac/trapeze table (as seen on Oprah) group reformer classes, beginner thru multi level mat classes, and coming soon Pilates fitness chairs (the latest in top of the line Pilates equipment). If you are a first time exerciser or have special considerations such as pregnancy, osteoporosis or physical limitations speak with one of our Pilates staff. One on one sessions may be more appropriate than group classes.
