Events for Gold’s Gym Summer X Games
Bench Press for Reps:
- Body Weight of the lifter, rounded to the nearest 5lbs.
- Counted reps will be done IPA (International Powerlifting Association) bench rules, with all reps touching chest at bottom and full arm extension at the top
-Contestant with most reps completed wins the competition.
Overhead Press
- Maximal Effort
- Completed rep, Lifter must show control of weight in hands (off rack); lifter will be given an up
Up command, which lifter will begin attempt. And lifter must press the log/bar overhead with

- Lifter is allowed 3 attempts
- Once opening attempt is stated, lifter is allowed to change opening attempt 2 times.
- After completing opening attempt, lifter must state 2nd attempt. Lifter is allowed to change

-After 2nd attempt, lifter must state 3rd attempt and may not change 3rd attempt.
- Lifters may lift lower than their opening attempt, they can stay at the same weight and
Advance they may not lower weight throughout competition.
Ex) Opening attempt stated 135, changed to 125. Lift successful. 2nd attempt increase weight to
135, failed attempt, 3rd attempt is 135.
Squat for reps
- Same rules as Bench for reps
- Lifter must reach parallel (thighs parallel to ground) and achieve lockout at top
Farmers Walk (With Gripper Handles)
- 20 kg Kettlebell for women, 32 kg KB for men
- Farthest distance traveled without dropping KB win
Tire Flip
- 40 yds down and back
- Large tire for men, medium for women
- Fastest time wins
Pushups
- Most Pushups done in 60 sec
Inverted Row (Rings)
- Most reps done in 60 sec
Med Ball Slams
- 20 lb for men, 10 lb for women
- Most reps done in 60 sec
Heavy Rope Jump Rope
- Most reps done in 60 sec wins
Medley Shuttle
- Sprint 20 yds, jumping burpee back to start (20 yds), Sprint 40 yds, and carry stone back to start (40 yds).
- Fastest time wins
- 69 lb stone for men
- 38 lb stone for women
