The 25th Annual Charity Tournament was a smashing success. There was plenty of good food, good friends and great tennis!!! The tournament raised over $1861 for three very worth causes, Boys and Girls Club, A Gift of Love and Slusser Family fund.
Winner of the AA Men’s division was Gold’s Gyms own teaching pro Steve Nazki and his partner Tommy Williamson who won in straight sets against DC Herrendeen and Dave Kaplan 6-3,6-3.
The A Men’s Division was won by a very sharp doubles tantum Mark Autrey and Stan Allen. They were straight set winners over father son team David and Seth Highnote with a 6-1 6-3 victory.
The Men’s B Division winners were a father son team. Anthony and Joey Guinta looked very impressive winning in straight sets against highschool teammates Michael Camp and Justin Maharaj.
The Woman’s B winners did not drop a single game in the final!!! Tracey Gazzola and Bobbi Fortner won by default over Jenny Eppinga and Melanie Brittain.
Congratulations to all our winners and thanks to everyone who participated. A special shout out goes to Carrabbas and Chick Fila for coming up big with some delicious food for our hungry players.
