GOLD'S GYMS OF SOUTH FLORIDA ALLIANCE
RECIPROCATION AGREEMENT
RECIPROCATION AGREEMENT
Updated March 31, 2006
- All members must join the gym they are planning on using the most (Primary Gym).
- Members
of the Gold's Gyms of South Florida Alliance are all considered guests
of neighboring Gold's Gyms within the Alliance and may use these gyms
in accordance with the rules of that particular gym in conjunction with
presenting a valid travel pass with a valid expiration date accompanied by a picture ID, or else pay the daily fee.
- Travel
cards are issued by the home gym to its active annual/continual members
upon request. The issuance of travel pass cards shall be for a maximum
of one month, thus ensuring that the home gym only issues a valid
travel pass to its long-term members who are in good standing.
Long-term members are defined as one year or greater continuals.
Short-term memberships do not have travel privileges.
- All travel pass cards will be uniform between gyms not valid for more than 30 days from issuance.
- It is the responsibility of the member to request a travel pass card prior to traveling. Only original travel passes are valid. Faxed travel passes are not accepted nor required to be accepted by the host gym.
- It
is not the responsibility of the host gym (non-home gym) to verify
membership in any other way than by seeing the valid travel pass card
and a photo ID to ensure that they match up and are within their date
range and visits allowed.
- Host gyms may keep
the picture ID and travel pass with the front desk until the checkout
of the visiting member as a means of safety and monitoring who is in
the gym.
- Members of one gym who wish to transfer to
another gym within the Alliance will pay a $35.00 transfer fee and sign
one of the approved Alliance transfer forms requesting the same in
addition to a new contract for gym membership from the new gym.
- The
new gym will send via fax the transfer form along with the newly signed
membership contract requesting approval from the members former primary
gym for transfer. The former primary gym will have 30 days to approve
or reject this transfer.
- If the transfer is
rejected due to the member owing the former primary gym for membership
dues then the new gym is not allowed to accept the transfer in
until the former primary gym is paid for balances due. This ensures the
integrity of a credit system within the Gold's Gym of Southern Florida
Alliance.
- If a member is paid in full at one
gym and wishes to transfer to another gym within the Alliance, the new
gym will honor up to 6 months of the remaining unused time left on the
contract subject to the member paying the new gym a $35.00 transfer fee
and signing a new contract. The unused time (not to exceed 6 months)
will be added to the end of the new term that member signs with the new
gym.
- The old primary gym (gym member is
transferring from) shall terminate that members agreement upon
receiving the documentation from the gym regarding the transfer.
Depending upon the particular day of the month that the transfer
documentation comes to the old primary gym, there may be up to one
months-worth of additional billing collected by the old gym prior to
approving the transfer.
- The new gym will lockout a
transferred member if the old gym has rejected the transfer due to an
unpaid balance. This ensures that the transferring members complete
their obligation to their old gym prior to being permitted to transfer
into another Alliance gym.
- Members are not
permitted to transfer into a new Gold's Gym until after three full
months of being a member of their primary Gold's gym and in good
standing or until after paying three months-worth of dues to
their primary gym, whichever arrives first.
- The
frequency of visits that Gold's Gyms honor is 14 days per year in any
Gold's Gym throughout the world, however within the Gold's Gyms of
South Florida Alliance there may be a greater number of visits,
including but not limited to a certain number of visits per month per
club. Each club may vary. It is the host gym's responsibility to track
the frequency of guest visits and to advise guests if there is a fee.
- Guests agree to abide by all the rules of the host gym upon visit to that gym and furthermore agree to be courteous to the host gym's staff and members.
