Certified Personal Trainer
My experience in fitness has been a life long journey. I played football and baseball growing up into my college years. I took my fitness approach and fine tuned it in 2000 by becoming certified through the American Council on Exercise. I also branched off on a specialty in Biomechanics and Exercise Mechanics through the mastery portion of the Resistance Training program. In 2003 I wanted to expand my knowledge base about the human body and went through the Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) Internship in Denver, CO. It was now a way to address the muscular imbalances that led to pain and tightness with my current clients. Training and MAT became a great combination for my clients. I could train the body holistically while keeping the integrity of a workout. I have specialized in working with the general population, geriatrics and athletes alike to accommodate my style with the appropriate goal.

To further push the limits, I decided to pursue competitive Fitness Modeling. Since 2006, I have entered several regional to world contests. In the regional contests I have placed in the top 3 in three different shows. In a 2007 nationwide contest, I placed 6th out of 71 competitors. And most recently in November of 2007, I placed 7th our of 52 in a worldwide contest in Hollywood, California. I have taken my experience from these contests to further my knowledge on the importance of nutrition in achieving my visual goals and body fat goals of 5% body fat. I have recently been published in the March 2008 fitness magazine, Exercise for Men.
