GOLD'S GYM HELPS COUPLES FIND

Company Unveils New Workouts Designed to Help "Strengthen" Four Key Areas of a Relationship

03.10.2009

Dallas, TX (February XX, 2009) - In honor of Valentine's Day and Heart Health Month (February), Gold's Gym, the world's leading authority on health and fitness, is helping couples improve matters of the heart, both in a literal and a figurative sense.

The company is introducing a series of "More Love, Less Handles" workouts that are designed to be a "healthy" alternative to couples' counseling. These customized exercise routines are designed to help couples trim down while strengthening four key pillars of a healthy relationship.  This includes:

  • Trust - Focuses on exercises that require spotting, putting your partner in a position where he or she needs to be there for you and in tune with what you're doing
  • Intensity - Uses movements where your partner provides resistance, giving you a better understanding of each other's limits
  • Communication - Incorporates stretching to improve channels of communication between you and your partner, requiring you to express with each other when you can go a little further and when you cannot
  • Intimacy - Involves workouts where you're facing one another to encourage eye contact, upping the intimacy level

"Physical fitness gives people confidence and can add a layer of stability to a relationship," says Dr. Belisa Vranich, Gold's Gym Fitness Institute expert and a clinical psychologist. "By working out together, you feel good together, reinforcing the idea that your relationship brings about good feelings.  The added bonus is that you will literally strengthen your heart, keeping you together longer."

Beginning February 1st, couples can download these routines at www.goldsgym.com.
