HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training will produce an ‘afterburn’ effect that will help you burn more calories and push you more than most other workouts. What happens is the more intense the exercise, the longer your body will be in a fat burning stage. Participants in HIIT have been shown to burn through 9 times as much fat as those that did just standard aerobic exercises. This can even go on long after you complete your workout- while you work, watch television, or even sleep!
