Everyone always wants to hear that there is a secret when it comes to being in shape. Unfortunately, there isn’t a magic potion fit people drink each night or a special saying they chant in the morning. However, I bet you that some of the traits that assist in making them successful with their weight loss and fitness goals are traits that you may not possess. They probably do some things in their everyday lives that you don’t, but should consider. Check out some of the most common traits healthy and fit people have in common:
1. They don’t care what people think.
Fit people become the way they are because they weren’t concerned about what their friends thought of their new healthy eating habits, when they decided to make a change. Instead of feeling obligated to eat the same garbage that was making their friends unhappy, overweight and sick, they chose to ignore the peer pressure and mockery and focus on what was right for them and only them.
2. They think positively about the future.
People that are in shape, are optimistic and open minded. They don’t see the glass half empty; they see it half full. They are always looking ahead and planning for their futures. They don’t worry themselves with negative thoughts. Instead, they think about all the good things that are waiting for them and what they can do to get to them faster.
3. They don’t procrastinate.
Instead of putting off a change in their eating habits or exercise routines, these particular people jump on the opportunity right away. They don’t say, “Aw, well, I’m too tired today to workout. I’ll start tomorrow.” These fit and successful people know that tomorrow turns into next week, next week turns into next month and next month turns into…potentially never. They see the end goal insight and are ready to get things rolling!
4. They love what they do for a living.
There is a quote that says, “Find 3 hobbies that you love: One to make you money, one to keep you in shape and one to be creative in.” Fit and healthy people make sure they do all of those things and they especially apply those into their work lives. They find a job that doesn’t feel like work and they just simply enjoy it. They are lucky enough to have all 3 of those things in that quote be rolled-up together.
5. They are very budget conscious.
You won’t catch healthy and fit people blowing their money on trinkets, snack foods and unnecessary splurges. No way. Like you have probably gathered to this point, they have goals they want to reach. They know where each and every cent they earn is going to go and what in particular it’s going for. Money is a part of their success, so they keep an eye on it!
6. They don’t diet.
These people know that diets are a sham. They know that the only way to achieve a healthy and lean looking body is to “eat clean and train mean”. These individuals have seen their friends fail time and time again because they want the easy way out and follow the latest diet trend out on the market. You won’t catch fit people on diets. I bet you money too, that if you ask them what diet they are on, they’ll respond to you with, “It’s not a diet. It’s a healthy lifestyle.”
