I don’t know about you, but I have one of those brains that is all over the place 24/7. Both sides of my family include people that are always spinning their wheels, planning, thinking, and creating. So, I guess that means I get it honestly! I am a creative brain type of person. If you are like me, your car probably looks like a bomb went off in it a few times, your bathroom has stuff spread from one end of the counter to the other, and you probably go to work with different socks each day. Some people can relate to what I am saying, others read that description and think, “Holy train wreck.”
Hey, live and let live I say! In all seriousness, even though I may have what my cousin and I call the, “OH, HEY! SQUIRREL!” mentality of living, it doesn’t mean I don’t try and keep it under control. When I was growing up, my dad always taught me that the key to productivity was having a clean, orderly and systematic work space. You would be amazed at how much of a difference this can make in your mental clarity. The same can be said for taking the time to do things for yourself.
Think about it, your brain is your biggest work space of all – is it not? I know mine sure is. If you have a brain that is on the go, constantly spinning from one idea, date, event or activity to the next, then you know what I am talking about. It can disrupt your sleep and cause random anxiety. You become stressed and after so long of trying to cope, you end up breaking down or taking out your mental struggles out on those that are closest to you.
