Have you heard? There are a couple of new Group Fitness classes that are headed to the Gold’s Gyms of West Ga. Today I want to tell you about one in particular that is coming to our Gold’s Gym on Hospital Drive in Douglasville. All of us at Gold’s Gym are proud to announce that our Hospital Drive location, will now be hosting POUND classes, in addition to all of our normal Group Fitness classes!
Some of you may have heard of POUND, but for the rest of you that have no idea what I am referring to or why you should be excited – have no fear! Below, I have put together a Q&A that covers some of the most common questions that have been asked, since the announcement that POUND is headed your way. Take a look and see what you think!
What is POUND?
This workout combines cardio interval training with drumming to provide a challenging, heart-pumping workout. If you are a person who loves the group fitness environment or craves loud music to stay motivated, you MUST try POUND!
Where will POUND be offered?
POUND is going to be offered exclusively at our Hospital Drive Gym location.
When will POUND begin?
We have our top notch Group Fitness Instructors going through the Training for POUND right now! They are SO excited to reveal this new class to you! Classes will begin January 2017.
Will there be an additional charge for POUND, on top of my membership fees?
NO WAY! If you already have the VIP membership that allows you to take Group Fitness classes, you have no restrictions on attending POUND! If you by chance do not have the VIP membership, it’s not too late! See one of the sales counselors and ask them how to upgrade your membership, so that you can attend POUND class and all of the other fantastic Group Fitness classes we offer.
What do I need to bring to a POUND class?
All you need to worry about bringing to this class is yourself and some energy!
What can POUND do for your body?
POUND is a full-body workout that targets common trouble spots. A large portion of this class is done while in a squatted position. The constant up-and-down drumming motion, targets your inner and outer thighs, butt, and core. And by the way, those drumsticks aren’t just for show – at 1/4 pound per stick and a little shorter than the standard length; they’re perfectly designed to maximize your arm workout.
Who is POUND meant for?
POUND is meant for anyone who has ever had a secret desire to let out their inner Rock Star, while participating in a challenging workout at the same time!
How about it? Doesn’t POUND sound like an AMAZING time! There is nothing to be afraid of – this is going to be a new experience for the majority of our members. You will not be alone in feeling timid, yet excited, about jumping into this new class.
