Don’t be afraid to say you need help!
I have had countless clients come to me because they had finally admitted to themselves that they didn’t know the first place to start when it came to beginning a fitness regimen. They say, “I really thought that I could do it myself but, I don’t know what I specifically need to be doing to get the results I am looking for.”
That’s where people like me come in!
Deciding to hire a Personal Trainer is one of the best decisions you can make when taking the plunge into starting your fitness routine. We trainers are here to give you personalized programs that support your specific needs when it comes to you meeting your health and fitness goals. We have done the studying and put in the hours of shadowing to get to where we can confidently help you get where you want to be! Don’t be afraid to come to us for support and guidance-that’s what we are here for!
One of the great things (especially for women) about starting up a fitness routine is getting to pick out a new fitness wardrobe! Many find that purchasing fun and matching gym clothes motivates them to go to the gym more. When you are dressed in your athletic best, you will want to show off a little more! Your confidence level will immediately rise and will only increase as you venture to the gym in your new workout clothes to bust your butt!
Clean out the fridge!
“Abs are made in the kitchen.” It’s a common phrase we say in the fitness world…because it’s true! You can sweat and strain and push day after day, but if you aren’t putting in the effort of making good choices when it comes to what you put in your body, you are just wasting your time thinking that you will see the results you desire.
When you decide you want to really take your fitness regimen seriously, it’s a great idea to do a deep clean in your pantry and fridge. Toss out anything that you know isn’t going to help you achieve your goals. If there is any question if its good or bad for you…toss it! Keep it clean in there. Have fresh produce, lean meats, whole grains and water always available. There is no need to hold on to those frozen dinners or sugary drinks if you are REALLY serious about making a change!
Grab a gym buddy!
Studies show that people who have a workout partner are more likely to stick to a plan and achieve their results as opposed to those who try to go at it alone. Having a friend going through workouts with you is actually a lot of fun and makes working out feel like you’re just hanging out with a pal!
If you have a competitive spirit, this point especially applies to you! Compete with your workout buddy to see who can squat the most weight (safely), hold a plank position the longest or even take the most group fitness classes in a week if the two of you are apart or your schedules conflict. I promise you that having someone on the journey with you will help you achieve your goals faster than you imagined. All because you are having fun and enjoying your fitness time!
