One of the most commonly asked questions I get as a Personal Trainer is “What can I eat/do to make all of my stomach fat just disappear?”
Hey, I understand the frustrations that come with having unsightly belly fat and wanting to get rid of it in the quickest way possible. Everyone wants to hear about the newly discovered, rare and exotic fruits found deep in the jungles of some faraway land that have magical traits and are “proven” to melt away the belly fat.
Unfortunately, those things don’t exist. While there may not be a magical, exotic fruit that can solve all of your physical flaws in the blink of an eye, there are many foods that support a healthy lifestyle, which in turn supports belly fat loss!
The following tips do result in positive changes in your routines and will help you fight that annoying stomach fat!
1. Eat meals LOADED with fiber.
Your meals should always contain fruits and vegetables; that’s no secret. By eating fresh fruits and vegetables that are high in fiber, you keep yourself on a regular bathroom schedule. Not only that, but you will remain fuller for longer and are able to resist the urge to snack as much in between meals.
2. Get your beauty sleep!
By going to bed at the same time each night and waking up at the same time every morning, you improve your sleep quality. Improved sleep patterns play a large factor in your brain telling you if you are really hungry at night or just eating because you are bored. Bette sleep patterns also help you focus on a healthy breakfast!
3. Start getting your walk on!
Studies show workouts are more strenuous when you are working out with a friend. So, instead of meeting up for that expensive weekly drink that is full of sugary, empty calories, use that time to walk around downtown or your neighborhood. That meetup doesn’t cost cost you a thing and contributes to both your good health and friend’s health!
4. Ditch the sodas.
The average soda is filled with processed and refined sugars. This sugar is one of the leading contributors to unwanted belly fat. Your body always has a challenging time burning off this kind of sugar. The sugar in soda is high fructose corn syrup. High fructose corn syrup is one of the mega monsters contributing to belly fat and which leads to obesity. Instead, opt for water flavored naturally with chopped or sliced fruit! It’s a fresh and tasty alternative.
By just changing up these 4 little common mistakess, you can halt to that pesky belly fat growth for good!
