Membership

How do I become a member? What are your rates, fees, hours and amenities?

Because nearly all Gold's locations are independently operated, you will need to contact the local Gold's Gym you'd like to join to ask about rates, amenities, gym hours, and membership information.

I would like to change/update my billing information. How can I do that?

To change or update your current billing information, you will want to contact your gym directly as they are the only ones with access to your billing data.

I'd like to cancel my membership. How do I get started?

Each gym has procedures for membership cancellations. You will want to contact your gym for information on how to cancel, or refer to your membership agreement for additional instructions.

I want to cancel one of my gym services (Personal Training/Tanning/etc.). How do I do that?

To cancel specific amenities like training or tanning, you will want to contact your gym for information on how to cancel.

What certifications do you prefer?

There are over 30,000 certifications out there so it’s important to choose one that is nationally recognized by a recognized certifying agency. We find that the 4 most recognized in the industry are NASM, ACE, ACSM, and NSCA. You may want to contact the location you are interested in working for as they may have additional certifications options available.

Do you offer in-house personal training certification?

Currently we do not host an in house personal training certification program; this may be an option in the future. You may want to contact the location you are interested in working for as they may have a training program to get you started.

What are the requirements to become a personal trainer at Gold's Gym?

Most Gold's locations have 3 options in regards to requirements.

Gold’s Gym corporate-owned locations require a nationally recognized certification to become a personal trainer, and you must have one of the Gold’s Gym approved certifications within 90 days of employment. Please see the “What certifications do you prefer” FAQ.
Gold’s Gym corporate-owned locations does accept a 4 year degree in an exercise-related field but again you must have one of the Gold’s Gym approved certifications within 90 days of employment. Please see the “What certifications do you prefer” FAQ.
We find that the 4 most recognized in the industry are NASM, ACE, ACSM, and NSCA. If you possess one of these 4 certifications you are welcome to fill out an application for employment opportunities.

How much money can a personal trainer expect to make with Gold's Gym?

Do you offer post-employment training for new personal trainers?

Gold’s Gym prides itself in one of the most comprehensive new-hire training programs in the industry. Corporate-owned locations and franchise-owned locations may vary slightly but most offer on-demand web training programs, new hire workbooks, coaching guides, cross training programs and personal training manuals.

Nearly all Gold’s Gym locations are independently owned and operatedfranchises of the Gold’s brand. As such, they all have their own marketing teams and budgets at the gym level.
