Asabi Banjoko-Knorr is native from Jamaica W.I. who grew up with a love for the outdoors & exercise. She has been a certified AFAA Group Fitness Instructor since 1998. Asabi specializes in teaching LesMills BODYPUMP™, Advanced Step Choreography/Aerobics, Kickboxing, Tabata, and Sculpt & Muscle Conditioning Circuit Classes
Upon graduating from Howard University with an Electrical Engineering degree, Asabi wanted to find a creative outlet for her artistic side. She does not see teaching aerobics as a side-job but a special calling to make a positive impact in someone’s life while having fun! She enjoys teaching all kinds of group fitness, from small group Body Pump strength training to larger groups at fitness conferences and appeared in a 2006 Christie Taylor Still Steppin’ video (Collage video).
She is a mother of two boys & continues her love of athletic competition by competing in Olympic Distance & Sprint Triathlons, Marathons and Half Marathons, Rock Climbing, and swimming.

Some advice for our GGX class members: (1) Don’t stress the small stuff – fitness isn’t a quick fix or what you can see from the outside. True fitness requires letting what’s on the inside manifest itself on the outside. (2) Be a BEAST for YOU – set an appointment with yourself and become an agent of your PERSONAL change.
