Spend any length of time around Kim and her two great passions in life will become readily apparent, fitness and helping people. Kim has been the Director of Group Fitness for Gold’s Gym Bowie, Crofton, Dundalk, Glen Burnie, Marley Station, and Largo, Maryland since 2004; and has taught classes for Gold’s Gym since 1998. Kim has been teaching fitness to all levels and ages for most of her adult life to include 8 Les Mills Programs Body Attack, Body Flow, Body Pump, Body Step, Body Vive, GRIT, Sh’Bam and RPM. She is a certified group exercise instructor with the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA).
In order to enhance her fitness knowledge Kim has a 200hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) in Kripalu and a Pranakriya Yoga 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher in Pranakriya Yoga 300-hour Yoga Therapist with Pranakriya, Thai Yoga level 1 certified, Y12SR Yoga for 12 Step Recovery Leadership and Intensive certified to conduct groups/meetings and currently a Director for Pranakriya School of Yoga leading 200hour teacher trainings. Kim uses this broad knowledge base to seamless transition through the various fitness routines and levels so as to accommodate and enhance the member’s fitness experience.
From 2012-2015 Kimberly was an AFAA Yoga presenter for AFAA’s Yoga teacher certification program. She consistently broadens her knowledge by taking various trainings to mentor her staff and provide class participants with the current trends in fitness education.
Kim also unwaveringly leads the instructor team at Gold’s Gym in various community functions, while simultaneously helping members reach their fitness goals. For 2008-2015 the American Diabetes Association awarded her Tour De Cure top fundraiser and team captain for Maryland. In 2015 under her leadership Team Gold’s Sensational raised over $76,000.00. Kimberly is an active member of the Arthritis Foundation and a certified instructor in the Arthritis Fitness exercise program. Kimberly strives to help those affected by Diabetes and Arthritis to live a long and active lifestyle away from the couch. Her creativity and ability to coordinate large projects, she coordinated the collective team effort of instructors from all 6 clubs to enter the Les Mills Mid Atlantic Perfect Launch contest fall 2008 and won the Grand Prize. In 2005 Gold’s Gym Crofton was award Best Group Exercise Program of the year by Gold’s Gym Corporate.
