After graduating from Rice University in 2004, Forrest worked at Eckerd Outdoor Wilderness Camp for repeat youth offenders in Milton, FL. An injury to his foot restricted him to the use of a cane and forced Forrest to retire from Eckerd. Unwilling to accept doctor’s predictions that this situation would be permanent, Forrest turned to the training department of Gold’s Gym in San Antonio, TX.
He discovered during his rehabilitation that his passion for helping others could be channeled through Personal Training. He then completed his Personal Training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Since then he has continued his education with a Corrective Exercise Specialization, that focuses on injury rehabilitation and prevention, and Performance Enhancement Specialization. Forrest is now the Personal Training Director for the Charleston area Gold’s Gyms.
